San Diego’s Top Kitchen Remodeling

This project was both new and reface. The existing kitchen was being refaced and we were adding new cabinets to two walls.  The wood used was cherry with a light cranberry color.  The doors were Auburn doors .  The drawer boxes were 9 ply birch with ¾ extension.

This kitchen’s layout offered us dramatic focal points to work with. One that was unusual was the breakfast bar area. It  had glass blocks sandwiched in between the two countertops with lights inside. One of the challenges we had was how we would access this area to change the lights in the future. We decided to use earth magnets which would keep the end panel on securely, but could be removed with minimal effort.
